ClearlyEnergy created, maintains, and hosts the Home Energy Labeling Information eXchange (HELIX) database for Northeast Energy Efficiency Partnerships (NEEP). HELIX is a secure data platform that is helping to achieve market transformation in NEEP’s 12-state region by populating real estate listings with home energy information (e.g. U.S. DOE Home Energy Score, Energy code information including HERS scores, solar PV, scorecards, and weatherization data). HELIX is used as a policy tracking tool for State Energy Offices and utility program administrators looking to identify trends and opportunities within their portfolios and has been used in Connecticut as part of their code compliance programs to track HERS ratings.
The Vermont Home Energy Profile (VHEP) leverages the efficient home registry (i.e. HELIX) information, along with tax assessor, real-estate, permitting, and home inspection information, and ClearlyEnergy's Automated Energy Model (AEM) to generate home energy consumption, cost, and CO2 estimates. VHEP is designed to inform prospective home buyers and homeowners alike of the energy costs in the home, along with available savings opportunities.
ClearlyEnergy provided Efficiency Vermont and City of Montpelier with program design support in the development of the city’s residential time of listing policy and subsequent statewide program.
