Applications
BEAM is fully customizable and can be developed to meet the unique needs of every jurisdiction. Various use cases of BEAM include tracking compliance to local benchmarking or building performance standards ordinances, generating data reports and analyses, monitoring state government energy efficiency, private sector portfolio management and ESG goal tracking, and more.
Benchmarking. BEAM allows building owners and administrators to input and analyze their energy usage data, creating a comprehensive view of performance metrics within the jurisdiction. This data can be used by policymakers to set and enforce realistic BPS goals and by building owners to understand how their properties compare to similar ones across the jurisdiction.
Building Performance Standards (BPS). Jurisdictions can track compliance with local BPS policies down to the individual building level. BEAM can be tailored to reflect the exact ordinances of each jurisdiction and can track emissions and building efficiency across multiple compliance cycles, as well as project future emissions for each building.
Building Optimization. The BEAM platform can model proposed efficiency measures and seeks to minimize investment costs over time while meeting the program objectives of a jurisdiction.
